The autobiography of Geraint Thomas, one of Great Britain's most talented endurance riders, having picked up numerous medals as part of the team pursuit squad. 2008 was a particularly successful year for Geraint and his fellow team pursuiters as they retained their crown as world champions and also took Olympic gold, smashing the world record twice in the process. Geraint's gold medal achievement was recognised with an MBE in the 2009 New Year's Honours list. In the London 2012 Olympics, Geraint successfully defended his Olympic team pursuit title with Ed Clancy, Steve Burke and Peter Kennaugh breaking the world record in the process.
Geraint also has an established reputation on the road. As a young rider, he demonstrated his potential by winning the junior Paris-Roubaix in 2004, and in 2007 he successfully completed the Tour de France on his first attempt. In 2010, Geraint signed with British based Team Sky where he started his second Tour de France, this time wearing the British national champion's jersey. Geraint had a fantastic Tour with several top-ten stage finishes and wearing the prestigious young rider's white jersey from Stages 3 - 7. Geraint committed himself fully to the road following on from the 2012 Olympic Games, and was an integral part of Team Sky's second victory of the Tour de France with Chris Froome in 2013. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Geraint won the men's road race competing for Wales.
In 2015, Geraint Thomas became the first Briton to win the prestigious E3 Harelbeke in Belgium, racing for Team Sky.
